A minute of silence will be observed before the start of Sunday's second four-hour race, following the tragic death of driver Juha Miettinen in a multi-car crash that led to the suspension of Saturday's race. Verstappen was among those paying tribute to the 66-year-old. With the F1 schedule disrupted in April due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, Verstappen has added the NLS4 and NLS5 races to his expanding GT3 calendar. He is teamed up with seasoned endurance driver Lucas Auer, nephew of former F1 driver Gerhard Berger, in the Red Bull-livered Mercedes-AMG GT3 car for Verstappen Racing. He secured a win on his debut last September, driving a Ferrari 296 GT3 car alongside Britain's Chris Lulham. On his return to NLS action last month, Verstappen and his teammates, driving the Mercedes, finished first but were later disqualified due to exceeding the permitted tyre allocation.
