Leeds Rhinos Thrash Huddersfield Giants with Croft Scoring Four Tries

The Leeds Rhinos secured a resounding 56-22 win over the Huddersfield Giants in round eight of the Super League, with Brodie Croft scoring four tries at the Accu Stadium. This victory propelled the Rhinos to the top of the Super League table on points difference, while the Giants dropped to 11th place. Huddersfield had entered the match on a high note, having won against the Wigan Warriors and York Knights following the departure of their head coach, Luke Robinson. However, the Rhinos proved too strong, extending their own winning streak to three games. The Giants initially took the lead through George King, but the Rhinos quickly took control, with Croft and Jarrod O'Connor scoring tries to put their side ahead. The Rhinos continued to dominate, with Ryan Hall achieving a milestone 250th try for Leeds, and Lachie Miller adding to the tally. Despite a late attempt by the Giants, the Rhinos maintained their lead, with Croft scoring his second, third, and fourth tries. The Giants' Jacob Gagai and Olly Russell managed to score, but it was not enough to change the outcome. Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur expressed his concern over his team's defensive performance, stating that it lacked "urgency and desperation" and was "not good enough." He emphasized the need for his team to prioritize defense and be more resilient on their try line.
