Carrick: Rashford's Manchester United Return Still Undecided

Manchester United's interim manager, Michael Carrick, has stated that no decision has been made regarding Marcus Rashford's future at the club. The 28-year-old forward is currently on loan at Barcelona, with a £26m option to buy clause in his contract. However, reports suggest that Barcelona are hesitant to make the deal permanent at that price. When asked about the possibility of Rashford returning to United, Carrick remained non-committal, saying 'there are decisions to be made in time on certain things.' Rashford has had a mixed season at Barcelona, scoring 12 goals and assisting 13 in 43 appearances, but has faced criticism for a recent patchy spell. United are reportedly unwilling to renegotiate the fee with Barcelona, and are confident they could receive a higher offer from another club. The club is expected to strengthen its left-wing position, with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye reported to be on their list of targets. Carrick confirmed that there have been conversations about recruitment, but stated that 'timings are a thing' and that concrete talks will take place at a later time.
