Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight victories in a row, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for National Hunt racing on Monday. Jamesieconn, who is chasing a fourth consecutive win for the in-form Nicky Richards team, will participate in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase. Having shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground when winning at Carlisle, Jamesieconn has been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100, which may prove to be a challenge. Meanwhile, Streamsforth Lad, who has yet to secure a win despite placing in various events, will also compete. Stuart Coltherd, who has achieved a level-stakes profit of +298 over the past two weeks, will saddle Rightbackatyou, which finished as the best of the rest behind Scottish King over the same course and distance recently. Nicky Richards will also send out Young Getaway to attempt to continue his remarkable winning streak in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase. This will be Young Getaway's chasing debut, a year after being defeated over hurdles by That One, who will also be making his debut over fences. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore partnership will field two runners, including Heads Or Harps, who has been consistent in recent performances. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, will return to Gosforth Park, where he has been successful on his two recent visits. Wicket Keeper, who has secured two wins over six furlongs, will also compete, while Paddy's Day will wear a tongue-tie for the first time under Nigel Tinkler. Albasheer, a previous winner of the Constantine Handicap, will be ridden by Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle. Finally, Gardener will return for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4:30 pm, seeking to build on his previous win over the same course and distance.
