Conor Benn Eyes Garcia Showdown, but Other Top Fighters Are Eager for a Bout

Conor Benn has stated that his primary focus is on securing a WBC title fight against Ryan Garcia, but he's also being pursued by other high-profile fighters. Benn, who recently signed a multi-year deal with Zuffa Boxing, defeated Regis Prograis in his debut for the promotional company. As the mandatory challenger for Garcia's WBC welterweight title, Benn feels he has numerous options and is not limited to just one opponent. 'I'm not short of options,' Benn said. 'There are a lot of fighters calling me out, big names calling me out.' Benn believes he's worked hard to become the No. 1 contender for the title and is ready for his shot. If Garcia is not interested, Benn is open to other opportunities. 'If Ryan doesn't want it, there are plenty of fish out there,' he stated. Benn's recent victory over Prograis has garnered attention, and he's been amused by the reaction of other fighters. 'After the weekend, you have all the fighters calling me out begging me for the fight,' Benn said. 'It just goes to show their character because no-one was calling me out after the second Eubank fight, everyone went radio silent.' Zuffa Boxing head Dana White is supportive of making a fight between Benn and Garcia, saying, 'I am about making the biggest fights you can possibly make.' With Benn's signing, Zuffa Boxing is looking to recruit more top UK talent, including young up-and-coming fighters with potential to become world champions.
