Augusta National Golf Tournament: Final Standings

The final leaderboard for the Masters golf tournament, the first major of the year, is now available. The event, held at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia, saw Rory McIlroy make history with a successful title defense. McIlroy, the defending champion, emerged victorious after a thrilling playoff against Justin Rose last year, becoming the sixth player to achieve a career Grand Slam and the first since Tiger Woods. World number one Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite but ultimately finished a shot behind McIlroy, who posted a one-under 71. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley tied for third place, while Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns shared seventh. The PGA Tour now heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, with Justin Thomas returning as defending champion.
