Manchester United's interim manager Michael Carrick has stated that no decision has been made regarding Marcus Rashford's future at the club. Rashford, who is currently on loan at Barcelona, has been the subject of speculation about his potential return to Old Trafford. The 28-year-old forward has been on loan at Barcelona for the season, following a six-month spell at Aston Villa last season. His loan deal at Barcelona includes a £26m option to buy clause, but reports suggest that the Spanish club is hesitant to make the deal permanent at that price.
When asked about the possibility of Rashford returning to Manchester United, Carrick did not rule it out, stating that decisions will be made in time. Rashford has scored 12 goals and assisted 13 in 43 appearances for Barcelona but has faced criticism for his recent performances. Despite this, Manchester United is confident that they could receive a higher fee for Rashford if Barcelona decides not to exercise the option to buy clause.
Carrick also revealed that the club has had conversations about strengthening the left-wing position, with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye reportedly being considered as potential targets.
