Atang: I Must Live Up to Moses Itauma's Achievements

Heavyweight prospect Leo Atang is under pressure to perform. However, Atang, 19, is cautious about following in Itauma's footsteps, emphasizing that every boxer progresses at their own pace. With a 100 percent knockout ratio in his five professional fights, Atang is a promising talent, but he's keen to forge his own path. "I'm not trying to be the next Moses Itauma. I'm going to be myself and do my own thing," Atang told Sky Sports. Atang intends to reach the top of the heavyweight division in his own way, which may eventually involve a bout against Itauma. "It will happen when the time is right. There's no rush for either of us. We can take our time, build our reputations, and when the time is right, it will be a massive fight," Atang said. Atang feels that he has faced more pressure due to Itauma's success, saying, "I've had it tougher because he was the first to do it, and everyone praises him. I've got to live up to what he's done, and that's a pressure that's been forced upon me from the outside." Atang aims to continue his development this year, working through the early stages of his career, and expects to eventually become a championship contender. "My goal is to win the world title. I'm on the right path, and when the time is right, I'll be ready to take on the big names in the heavyweight division," Atang said.
