Total Prize Money for Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Confirmed

The International Cricket Council has confirmed a 10% increase in the total prize fund for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, which will take place in England and Wales this summer. The winning team will receive $2.34 million, while the runners-up will take home $1.17 million. All participating teams are guaranteed a minimum of $247,500, more than double the amount from 2024. The tournament, which will feature 12 teams, is expected to set new attendance and viewing records, with a record-breaking prize pot of $8,765 million. The event will be held across 24 days in seven venues, with the first match taking place on June 12. The ICC CEO, Sanjog Gupta, stated that the growth of women's cricket continues to accelerate, and the expansion of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup underlines the commitment to building a stronger, more competitive global game. The tournament director, Beth Barrett-Wild, added that the event is set to be a landmark moment for the game, with record-breaking ticket demand and the largest-ever prize pot for a global women's T20 competition.
