Canadian Cruiserweight Ryan Rozicki Joins Zuffa Boxing Roster
Canadian boxer Ryan Rozicki, known for his formidable punching power, has inked a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing. Rozicki, nicknamed 'The Bruiser', is the newest addition to the company's impressive cruiserweight lineup, which already features champion Jai Opetaia, former titleholder Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton. With 21 professional wins, all but one by knockout, Rozicki has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of boxing. His only loss came in 2021 against Oscar Rivas, a seasoned heavyweight contender who has only been beaten by Dillian Whyte. Since then, Rozicki has remained unbeaten in nine consecutive fights, often performing in front of sold-out crowds in his native Nova Scotia. In 2024, he fought to a draw against Yamil Alberto Peralta for the WBC interim title. One of his notable victories came when he defeated Olanrewaju Durodola, who had previously gone the distance with notable boxers like Richard Riakporhe and Ilunga Makabu. Rozicki's most recent bout took place in March, where he secured a second-round knockout against Gerardo Mellado. Expressing his enthusiasm for this new chapter, Rozicki stated, 'I'm looking forward to being part of what Zuffa is building, and I'm confident that my team has prepared me for success at the highest level.' The details of his debut fight with Zuffa Boxing are expected to be announced soon.
