McLaren Unveils Plan to Revive Title Hopes

Lando Norris is confident that McLaren can still mount a strong defense of their world titles when the F1 season resumes at the Miami Grand Prix, despite a slow start to the season. The reigning champion believes that with nearly five weeks to work on their cars, there is ample opportunity to turn things around. Norris, who trails early championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 47 points, emphasized that the team will continue to push hard for the championship, rather than giving up and focusing on next year. He cited past examples where the team has overcome a slow start to finish strong, and expressed trust in the team's ability to do so again. Ensuring the reliability of their car and Mercedes power unit is a key area of focus for Norris, who also highlighted the importance of track time and getting laps on the board to develop the car. The team is using the break to work on these issues, including a tyre test at the Nurburgring, and Norris' teammate Oscar Piastri also expressed confidence in the team's ability to close the gap to Mercedes and get into regular victory contention. Piastri believes that the team has a lot of work to do, but is excited to see what they can achieve, and has complete trust that the team will do everything they can to get them back to the front.
