Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the top spot on the leaderboard after the second round of the RBC Heritage, shooting an impressive eight-under-par 63. The English golfer's round was marked by eight birdies, including a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole, all without a single bogey at Hilton Head. Following an opening round of 65, Fitzpatrick started Friday in a six-way tie for third but now leads the tournament at 14 under par.

Viktor Hovland of Norway trails closely behind, retaining his second-place position with a score of 65 in the second round. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg slipped to a joint-fourth position after encountering three bogeys on the back nine.

Robert MacIntyre of Scotland is six shots behind Fitzpatrick after scoring a 68, and world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots off the lead with a 67. The RBC Heritage continues, with live coverage available on Sky Sports Golf.
