Bromley Achieves Historic Promotion to League One

For the first time in their 132-year history, Bromley has secured a spot in League One with two games remaining in the season. Despite recent setbacks, including a loss to MK Dons and a draw with Cambridge, the team's promotion was confirmed after Notts County's defeat to Barnet. Led by manager Andy Woodman, Bromley has made a remarkable leap from non-league football to the third tier in just two seasons. The team is currently seven points ahead of fourth-placed Salford and will finish the season with matches against Salford and Walsall. According to Sky Sports' EFL Editor Simeon Gholam, 'It took Bromley 132 years to reach the Football League, and just two years to get from League Two to League One.' Gholam attributes the team's success to 'graft, togetherness, and endeavour' under Woodman's leadership. Dave Edwards, on the Sky Sports Essential EFL podcast, described Bromley as 'one of the most wonderful community football clubs' he has visited, praising the team's unique identity and engaged fanbase.
