Rosenior Uncertain About Consequences of Missing Champions League

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has confessed that he is unaware of the potential consequences the team will face if they fail to secure a Champions League spot. Following a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Manchester United, Chelsea now trails the Red Devils by 10 points and Liverpool by four points. Prior to the match, Cole Palmer expressed his commitment to staying with the club, emphasizing that qualifying for the Champions League would be beneficial for attracting new players. However, Rosenior admitted that missing out on the competition could significantly impact the team's plans and player signings. 'The honest answer is I don't know,' Rosenior stated in a post-match press conference. Palmer recently discussed his future with The Guardian, downplaying speculation about a potential departure and highlighting the importance of securing a Champions League spot to achieve the team's long-term goals. With only five Premier League games remaining, Chelsea's chances of climbing back into the Champions League places are dwindling, and Rosenior believes the team must win their upcoming match against Brighton to revive their season. 'It gives us a mountain to climb,' he said. 'It's not insurmountable. We have to go into Brighton with an idea that we have to win that game and kick-start the rest of our season.'
