The Leeds Rhinos secured a convincing 56-22 victory over the Huddersfield Giants in round eight of the Super League at the Accu Stadium, with Brodie Croft scoring four tries. This win propelled the Rhinos to the top of the Super League table on points difference, while the Giants dropped to 11th place. Huddersfield had entered the match on a high note, having won against Wigan Warriors and York Knights following the departure of their head coach, Luke Robinson. However, the Rhinos proved too strong, extending their own winning streak to three games. The match began with Huddersfield showing promise, as Lachie Miller's kick-out on the full led to George King scoring an early try for the home team. Nevertheless, the visitors soon took control, with Croft scoring the first try for Leeds, followed by Jarrod O'Connor's clever move to put his side in the lead.
