Kilmarnock secures crucial point in relegation battle after dramatic finish against Dundee

A stoppage-time penalty save by Kelle Roos earned Kilmarnock a vital point in their fight for survival, as they drew 2-2 with Dundee in a thrilling encounter. The match ended in dramatic fashion, with Jamie Brandon conceding a penalty for a foul on Scott Wright, but after a six-minute delay, Roos made a crucial save to deny Joe Westley from the spot. Kilmarnock had taken the lead in the 14th minute through Joe Hugill, before Dundee equalized against the run of play in the 24th minute, courtesy of a Simon Murray header. The home side regained the lead with a stunning Michael Schjonning-Larsen strike, but Dundee leveled the score in the second half through Scott Wright. The draw leaves Kilmarnock in the relegation play-off spot, two points behind St Mirren. Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann felt his side should have won the game, but was relieved to have secured a point. Dundee boss Steven Pressley, meanwhile, expressed sympathy for the match officials, who were forced to make a difficult decision using inadequate technology.
