The International Cricket Council has confirmed a 10% increase in the total prize fund for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, with the winning team set to receive $2.34m (£1.74m) and the runners-up taking home $1.17m (£871,024). All participating teams are guaranteed a minimum of $247,500 (£184,245), more than double the amount assured in 2024. The tournament, which will be held in England and Wales this summer, is expected to break attendance and viewing records, with the ICC committing to building a stronger and more competitive global game.
The event will feature 12 teams, including Australia, Bangladesh, India, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, and West Indies, competing in 33 matches across 24 days in seven venues.
