Following his sensational ONE Championship debut, Britain's Ben Woolliss is slated to return to the ring on May 16, with the event being broadcast live on Sky Sports. The highly anticipated match will take place at the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand, where Woolliss will face off against Petchtanong Petchfergus in a bantamweight kickboxing bout. Woolliss, hailing from Grimsby, has overcome significant health challenges in recent years and made his promotional debut last month after signing with ONE. He accepted his first match on short notice, just nine days prior, and secured a remarkable one-round stoppage victory over former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker in a featherweight kickboxing clash.

Lineker, known for his formidable punching power, was taken down by Woolliss's devastating low kicks. The main event on May 16 will feature Chinese star Tang Kai as he defends his ONE featherweight MMA world title against Shamil "The Cobra" Gasanov. Kai has dominated the featherweight division, while Gasanov boasts an impressive record, leveraging his expertise in stand-up fighting, grappling, and submissions to outmaneuver his opponents.

Having avenged his only career loss, "The Cobra" is now poised to strike and potentially unstoppable.
