McLaren's Title Hopes Remain Alive, Says Norris

Lando Norris is confident that McLaren can still mount a strong defense of their world titles when the F1 season resumes at the Miami Grand Prix, despite a slow start to the new era. The reigning champion believes the team can "push hard" to turn their season around, citing past examples where they have overcome early struggles to finish the year in a stronger position. Norris trails early championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 47 points, but remains optimistic about McLaren's chances, saying "I think we can have a good season, even if we're not where we want to be right now." The team has been working to address reliability issues that have affected their car and Mercedes power unit, and Norris is focused on getting to the bottom of these problems to get McLaren back in contention for wins. Team-mate Oscar Piastri also expressed confidence in the team's ability to close the gap to Mercedes and out-develop the field, saying "we have a lot of work to do to be back at the front consistently, but... that's within our control."
