Cyrus Pattinson is on a mission to revive his career, as he prepares to take on Tunde Segun Adeyemi at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle this Saturday. Having once been on the cusp of Olympic qualification, Pattinson turned pro in 2021 and quickly racked up six victories, earning a reputation as a North East fan favorite. However, a loss to Conah Walker in 2023 sent his career into a tailspin, leaving him without a promoter, manager, or trainer, and struggling with a severe eye injury. Pattinson has since found a new lease on life under the guidance of trainer Billy Nelson in Glasgow. With three consecutive wins under his belt, Pattinson is now focused on claiming the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles. "I've been through rock bottom, but I'm back on track," he said. "I'm a fighter who always gives it my all, and I know I have what it takes to beat anyone in the welterweight division." Pattinson's trainer, Billy Nelson, echoed this sentiment, stating, "Cyrus has made tremendous progress, and I'm confident he can compete at the domestic level, if not European."
