Hull KR delivered a resounding performance, scoring eight tries to secure a convincing 46-0 victory over Toulouse in the Betfred Super League, marking their third consecutive win. The match began with Elliot Minchella scoring early for the visitors, and despite having another try disallowed, Rhyse Martin extended the lead to 12-0 after Toulouse failed to handle a high kick from Mikey Lewis. The Rovers doubled their scoreline with tries on either side of half-time, courtesy of Tyrone May and Joe Burgess, making it 24-0 just three minutes into the second half. The visitors showed no mercy, with Lewis and Jez Litten combining for the fifth try, followed by Peta Hiku intercepting a pass and running the length of the field to score.
Lewis's quality shone through as he set up Jai Whitbread for the seventh try, and Joe Burgess added his second to cap off a dominant display, condemning Toulouse to their sixth straight defeat. In another match, Leigh returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 18-6 victory over York. Adrian Lam's side had won only one of their last four matches but came out on top at the LNER Community Stadium, which could prove pivotal in their campaign. The first half saw Gareth O'Brien and Xavier Va'a trade tries, with Adam Cook's penalty giving the visitors an 8-6 lead at half-time.
Josh Charnley and Jacob Alick-Wiencke scored in the second half to help Leigh grind out the win and climb to 10th in the table. Both teams had two wins from their opening seven games before kickoff, with the Knights one spot above their opponents due to a better points difference. Leigh welcomed back some injured players, including former York winger AJ Towse, who made a significant impact with a brilliant last-ditch tackle. The away team took the lead through O'Brien, but York leveled the score with Va'a's try.
The second half saw few clear chances until Towse had a chance to score, but a superb covering challenge dislodged the ball. This sparked Leigh into life, with Charnley crossing for their second try, followed by Alick-Wiencke's try to put the visitors 18-6 up.
