Joel Tomkins Leaves Catalans Dragons Due to Personal Circumstances

Joel Tomkins has announced his decision to resign as head coach of Catalans Dragons, a position he held for nearly a year, citing personal reasons. The former England rugby league and union international found it challenging to be away from his family and made the decision to leave after a recent period at home. Tomkins initially took on the role as an interim coach but was soon appointed permanently. He expressed his gratitude to the club, stating that his time there was valuable and he has learned a great deal. However, the prolonged separation from his family was too difficult, leading to his decision to step down. Tomkins will be replaced by Ryan Sheridan, alongside assistant coaches Micky McIlorum and Mitchell Pearce, as interim head coach for the side's next game against Warrington Wolves.
