With the F1 season on a brief hiatus due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, Verstappen has added the NLS4 and NLS5 events to his expanding GT3 schedule. Verstappen has partnered with seasoned endurance driver Lucas Auer, nephew of former F1 driver Gerhard Berger, in the Red Bull-livered Mercedes-AMG GT3 car for Verstappen Racing, competing against a strong field of 37 GT3 cars at the notorious 'Green Hell' in the latest rounds of the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie. A minute of silence will be observed at the start of Sunday's live stream of the second four-hour race, available on skysports.com and the Sky Sports app, in tribute to driver Juha Miettinen, who tragically passed away following a multi-car incident that led to the suspension of Saturday's race. Verstappen previously won on his debut last September, sharing a Ferrari 296 GT3 car with Britain's Chris Lulham. On his return to NLS action last month, Verstappen and his teammates, driving the Mercedes, secured another first-place finish but were subsequently disqualified due to exceeding the permitted tyre allocation.
