England Rugby Star Ellie Kildunne Opens Up About Her Battle with Body Dysmorphia

Rugby World Cup winner Ellie Kildunne has spoken out about her struggles with body dysmorphia, which began during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Despite her success on the field, including scoring five tries in the Rugby World Cup, Kildunne revealed she felt isolated and alone after the tournament. She has also discussed her experiences with unhealthy weight loss and an eating disorder that developed during the pandemic. Kildunne, who recently released her autobiography 'Game Changer', explained how she would see herself as bigger in the mirror, despite being considered small in the rugby world. A physio session at her previous club, Wasps, brought the issue to a head, and with the support of lead physiotherapist Emily Ross, Kildunne began to address her problems. She now feels in control and wants to use her platform to help others who may be going through similar struggles, showing that even successful athletes like herself are not immune to mental health issues and body image problems.
