At just 15 years old, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has made history by becoming the youngest player to score a century in the IPL, achieving this feat a mere nine days after his record-breaking debut at the age of 14 in 2025. Now, he continues to dazzle the cricket world with his remarkable talent, prompting many to call for his inclusion on the international stage. Sooryavanshi's debut IPL season was nothing short of phenomenal, with a 35-ball hundred at 14, and he has consistently demonstrated an extraordinary ability to perform under pressure with the Rajasthan Royals in the 2026 edition. With two 15-ball fifties against Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he is the third-highest run scorer in the tournament, having amassed 200 runs from five innings at a strike rate of 263.15. Although a golden duck in a recent defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad showed he is human, Sooryavanshi's power, presence, and composure at the crease are well beyond his years, leaving seasoned professionals in awe. "It's unbelievable how he can hit the ball like that; he's a great talent, and we're glad he's on our team," said Dhruv Jurel, India and Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper-batter. "When you see Vaibhav smashing every ball, it makes you think nothing is happening on the wicket, but cricket isn't as easy as he makes it look."
