LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil has alleviated concerns regarding the series' financial stability, stating that it is 'funded through the season' and that they will 'work tirelessly' to ensure its continuation. This comes amid rumors that Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which funds the breakaway golf league, may withdraw its financial support. The speculation has been fueled by reports suggesting that the PIF is reevaluating its investments, with some estimating that the series has received approximately $5 billion in funding since its inception in 2021. O'Neil's remarks were in response to comments made by Sergio Garcia, a LIV team captain, who hinted that funding was secured until 2030.

However, O'Neil emphasized that the series operates like any other private equity-funded business, with a focus on creating a sustainable business plan. Despite the rumors, LIV Golf has continued to operate as usual, with its latest event in Mexico City proceeding without major disruptions.

Notably, Jon Rahm, a Ryder Cup star and LIV Golf player, expressed that he is 'not too worried' about the series' future, stating that he would wait for official confirmation before speculating about the rumors.
