Red Bull Revamps Technical Team to Boost Performance

In a bid to enhance its performance and innovation, Red Bull has unveiled a series of changes within its technical department. Ben Waterhouse, who has been a part of the team since 2017 as the head of performance engineering, will take on an expanded leadership role as chief performance and design engineer, reporting directly to technical director Pierre Wache. This move aims to strengthen the integration between design and vehicle performance, thereby accelerating the development of competitive solutions. Additionally, Andrea Landi is set to join the team from Racing Bulls on July 1 as the head of performance, bringing with him experience from his previous roles, including his tenure at Ferrari. Landi will report to Waterhouse. These changes are part of Red Bull's long-term technical strategy, focusing on both internal talent development and attracting external expertise. The team has faced a challenging start to the new era of F1 regulations, currently sitting sixth in the Constructors' Championship, and has seen key staff members depart for rival teams in recent years.
