Murphy Slams O'Sullivan and Trump for Missing Media Day

World Snooker Championship participant Shaun Murphy has expressed disappointment with Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump, criticising them for not doing enough to promote the sport after they failed to attend the pre-tournament media day in Sheffield. Their absence may result in fines from the sport's governing body, as the top seeds traditionally gather for interviews and a photo shoot. Murphy stated, 'It's become the norm for them to not show up to these events, which I think is a shame. They could have done more to promote the game over the years.' O'Sullivan and Trump are set to begin their tournament on Tuesday, with O'Sullivan potentially becoming the record eight-time champion. Meanwhile, other competitors like Mark Allen and Zhao Xintong are preparing for their own matches, with Allen expressing confidence in his recent form and Xintong aiming to break the 'Crucible curse' by becoming the first defending champion to successfully retain the title.
