Alistair Johnston Returns to Training, Julian Araujo's Celtic Career May Be Over

Celtic's long-term injured player Alistair Johnston has resumed training with the team, while loan defender Julian Araujo's time at the club may be coming to an end due to a recurring thigh injury. Johnston, who has been out since October with a hamstring issue, joined his teammates at the Lennoxtown training complex ahead of the upcoming Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren. Meanwhile, Araujo, who is on loan from Bournemouth, has suffered a setback in his recovery and may not play for Celtic again this season. According to Celtic manager Martin O'Neill, 'He [Johnston] trained with the team today, which was very encouraging. I don't think he felt any ill effects.' However, Araujo's situation is less promising, with O'Neill stating, 'Julian re-injured himself under supervision at Bournemouth, so that was a real blow.' The team is also dealing with other injuries, including right-back Colby Donovan's hamstring issue, which will keep him out of the upcoming match. On a positive note, the Green Brigade, Celtic's ultras group, will be returning to Celtic Park after a five-month ban, which is expected to give the team a boost. O'Neill expressed his enthusiasm for the group's return, saying, 'The support is very strong, it's great, and I would like if that was the case, just to park things now and let's see what the summer brings.' As for the title race, O'Neill remains cautious, stating, 'I would still rather be in Hearts' position just now. They are in the lead with games running out, that is not a bad position to be in.'
