Bournemouth have come to an agreement to appoint Marco Rose as the new manager, succeeding Andoni Iraola at the Vitality Stadium. Although Rose won't officially take over until this summer, the deal allows both the incoming manager and the club to prepare for next season. Iraola recently announced his decision to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, marking the end of his three-year tenure as head coach.
Following Iraola's announcement, Sky Sports News reported that Rose, formerly of RB Leipzig, was the top candidate to replace him due to their shared football philosophy. The 49-year-old has been out of management since being let go by RB Leipzig in March 2025.
With Rose's experience in the Champions League and his history of winning silverware, he is well-suited to lead Bournemouth's pursuit of European competition and trophies. His playing style, which emphasizes 'emotion, hunger, and being active,' aligns with the club's goals. Rose has stated that his team will focus on being highly active, winning high balls, and playing a fast and dynamic game. The club is currently working on completing the necessary paperwork and securing a work visa for Rose, as well as assembling his backroom team.
