Oleksandr Usyk has pledged to assist Anthony Joshua in defeating Tyson Fury. Joshua, a former world champion who lost to Usyk twice, has joined Usyk's training camp. Usyk has welcomed Joshua, stating, 'We support each other, work together, and have a great time.
We've transitioned from rivals to friends.' As a two-weight, three-time undisputed world champion, Usyk is well-equipped to advise Joshua on how to take on Fury. 'I believe AJ can beat my friend Fury,' Usyk said. Usyk might even be in Joshua's corner for the Fury fight.
According to Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, training with Usyk has already made a significant impact on Joshua. 'Being around the best fighter in the sport is incredible, and he loves it,' Hearn said. Usyk is preparing for his own fight against Rico Verhoeven on May 23 and is focused on the upcoming bout, stating, 'Now I have focus only on Rico, then we speak about future plans.'
