Norris Unveils McLaren's Strategy to Regain Title Momentum

Lando Norris remains optimistic about McLaren's chances of defending their world titles as the F1 season resumes at the Miami Grand Prix, despite a slow start to the season. Although Norris hasn't secured a podium finish in the first three races, his teammate Oscar Piastri's second-place finish in Japan has provided a glimmer of hope. With nearly five weeks to refine their cars, Norris believes there's still ample opportunity to turn their season around. 'We can still have a good season, even if we're not where we want to be right now,' Norris said, trailing early championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 47 points. Norris emphasized that giving up is not an option, citing past examples where the team has overcome early setbacks to finish strong. The team is focused on resolving reliability issues and improving their car's performance to get back into contention for wins. 'We're not in a terrible position, but we've definitely got to work to get back in contention for wins,' Norris added. Teammate Piastri also expressed confidence in the team's ability to close the gap to Mercedes and consistently challenge for victories. 'We have a lot of work to do, but closing the gap to Mercedes and out-developing the field is within our control,' Piastri said. With 19 races remaining, both drivers are optimistic about the team's prospects, citing their past experiences and the team's ability to turn things around.
