Red Bull Revamps Technical Team to Enhance Performance

Red Bull has unveiled a series of changes within its technical department, geared towards intensifying its commitment to innovation and performance. Ben Waterhouse, who has been a part of the team since 2017 as the head of performance engineering, will assume an expanded role as chief performance and design engineer, reporting directly to Technical Director Pierre Wache. This move aims to bolster the integration of design and vehicle performance, thereby expediting the development of high-performing solutions. Additionally, Andrea Landi is set to join the team from Racing Bulls on July 1, taking on the position of head of performance. Landi, who has previously worked with Ferrari as deputy head of vehicle performance, will report to Waterhouse. These adjustments underscore Red Bull's long-term technical aspirations, emphasizing the development of internal talent alongside the attraction of leading expertise from across the sport. Currently, Red Bull is navigating a challenging start to the new era of F1 regulations, sitting sixth in the Constructors' Championship. The team has also experienced the departure of key staff members to rival teams in recent years. The Miami Grand Prix, the season's second Sprint weekend, is scheduled to take place on May 1-3, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1.
