Hamilton's Resurgence: Mansell Weighs In

According to Nigel Mansell, a former F1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton has regained his competitive edge this season. Hamilton recently broke his 16-month drought without an F1 podium by finishing third at the Chinese Grand Prix, marking his first rostrum finish since joining Ferrari in 2025. The 41-year-old has also narrowed the gap with his teammate Charles Leclerc in terms of pace, having struggled with the previous generation of F1 car. Mansell believes the new regulations suit Hamilton's driving style and doesn't rule out the possibility of him winning a race this season. "Lewis is fired up again, and it's fantastic to see him performing at such a high level," Mansell said. Hamilton attributes his return to form to better preparation and the fact that Ferrari has done a great job over the winter. He also feels that the new car is more suited to his driving style, thanks in part to the changes he requested, which the team has implemented. Mansell, who was involved in several title fights during his career, thinks that this year's F1 Drivers' Championship could become a two-horse race between Mercedes drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, and believes that Russell needs to use his experience to win the intra-team battle.
