Red Bull Revamps Technical Team

Red Bull has unveiled a restructuring of its technical division, aimed at bolstering its commitment to innovation and performance. Ben Waterhouse, who has been with the team since 2017 as the head of performance engineering, will assume an expanded leadership role as chief performance and design engineer, reporting directly to technical director Pierre Wache. This move is expected to enhance integration between design and vehicle performance, accelerating the development of high-performing solutions. Additionally, Andrea Landi will join the team on July 1 as the head of performance, bringing expertise from his previous roles at Racing Bulls and Ferrari. These changes reflect Red Bull's long-term technical aspirations, emphasizing the development of internal talent and the attraction of leading industry specialists. The team has faced a difficult start to the new era of F1 regulations, currently sitting sixth in the Constructors' Championship. Red Bull has also experienced the departure of key staff members to rival teams in recent years, including the upcoming loss of Gianpiero Lambiase to McLaren in 2028.
