Following his unanimous decision victory over Regis Prograis, Conor Benn has expressed his eagerness to face WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia. Benn secured the win despite suffering cuts from several head clashes and is now focused on his next challenge. In a social media post, Benn called out Garcia, saying 'Keep my belt warm!' and proposing a September showdown. Garcia, who won the WBC title in February, has accepted the challenge, responding with 'I'm down. Garcia vs Benn. Let's do it.' Benn's win over Prograis, which took place at a catchweight 3lb above the welterweight limit, moves his record to 25-1. Benn is now ready to move down to 147lb to face Garcia, having fought most of his career at welterweight with his only defeat coming against Chris Eubank Jr at 160lb.
