Dundee United Snatch Dramatic Victory Over Livingston

A late penalty from Zac Sapsford sealed a thrilling 3-2 win for Dundee United over Livingston at Tannadice. The home team took the lead in the first half through Will Ferry, but Livingston fought back with two goals from Lewis Smith after the break. However, substitute Krisztian Keresztes equalized for the hosts, setting the stage for Sapsford's decisive penalty in added time. The result leaves United seventh in the Premiership, while Livingston remains at the bottom. The hosts made four changes to their starting lineup, with Dave Richards, Sam Cleall-Harding, Ryan Strain, and Sapsford coming in. Livingston, on the other hand, kept the same 11 players who drew with Hearts the previous Sunday. The visitors had the first chance of the game, but Babacar Fati's shot flew wide. United suffered a setback when star player Amar Fatah pulled up with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Neil Farrugia. Despite this, the hosts took the lead in the 19th minute through Ferry's low shot. Livingston finished the half strongly, with Cammy Kerr's long throw and Joel Nouble's flick causing problems for the United defense. The visitors equalized four minutes into the second half, with Nouble providing the assist for Smith's goal. Smith scored again in the 53rd minute, but United equalized in the 75th minute through Keresztes' powerful header. As the game seemed destined for a draw, Livingston conceded a penalty in added time, which Sapsford converted to seal the win. Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin admitted that his team 'stole the points' and got out of jail, while Livingston boss Marvin Bartley felt that his team's mistakes cost them the game.
