Augusta National Golf Scores: Final Results from The Masters Tournament

The final leaderboard is in for The Masters, the first major golf tournament of the year, held at the prestigious Augusta National course in Augusta, Georgia. Defending champion Rory McIlroy made history with a successful title defense, becoming the first player to achieve this feat since Tiger Woods. McIlroy's victory came after a thrilling playoff win over Justin Rose the previous year, completing his career Grand Slam. World number one Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite but ultimately finished a shot behind McIlroy, who carded a one-under 71. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley all tied for third place, one stroke behind Scheffler. Other notable finishes included Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns in seventh, and Max Homa and Xander Schauffele rounding out the top 10. The Masters is the first of four major tournaments in men's golf, followed by the PGA Championship, US Open, and The Open. The PGA Tour now heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, where Justin Thomas will look to defend his title. The next major, the PGA Championship, will be held from May 14-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania.
