Southampton Extend Unbeaten Run with Comeback Victory Over Derby

Southampton continued their ascent up the Championship table with a 2-1 comeback victory over fellow play-off hopefuls Derby at St Mary's. The Saints' unbeaten run now stands at 17 games, thanks to second-half goals from Leo Scienza and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, which cancelled out Carlton Morris' earlier strike. The hosts started strongly, with Scienza creating an early chance for Tom Fellows, but Derby were forced into an early change when Bobby Clark limped off. Despite this, the Rams showed intent and had opportunities, including a shot from Max Johnston that went into the side netting. Derby were without the injured Patrick Agyemang, and Morris led the line in his absence, scoring an unlikely opening goal from a deflected corner.
