Jango Baie Secures Victory in the Racing Welfare Bowl at Aintree

In a remarkable turn of events, Jango Baie, the Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up, achieved a triumphant win at Aintree by taking full advantage of a fall from Impaire Et Passe in the Racing Welfare Bowl. Trained by Nicky Henderson, the seven-year-old was the even-money favourite and demonstrated his capabilities despite some imperfect jumping throughout the three-mile-one-furlong journey. With a notable leap two fences from home, Jango Baie secured a 16-length victory over Dan Skelton's Protektorat. Henderson expressed his pride in the horse, stating that he is not a rogue like his previous horse, Might Bite, and praised jockey Nico de Boinville for his exceptional skills in handling the pressure of the Grade One race. The victory served as swift compensation for Henderson and De Boinville, who had previously experienced a setback with Lulamba in the preceding race.
