Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to field three runners at Hexham for Monday's National Hunt action. Jamesieconn, seeking a fourth consecutive victory, will be joined by Streamsforth Lad and Young Getaway as Richards looks to maintain his team's remarkable form. The seven-year-old Jamesieconn has shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground, having secured a win at Carlisle recently. Despite being nudged up 5lbs to a mark of 100, Danny McMenamin's mount may still rise to the challenge. Streamsforth Lad, although yet to claim a win, has shown improvement and is still racing off a mark of 97. Meanwhile, Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou will look to build upon his recent performance behind Scottish King over this course and distance. In the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, Nicky Richards will send out Young Getaway to make his chasing debut. This comes a year after his defeat over hurdles to That One, who will also be making his debut over fences. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination will field Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having been ultra-consistent in recent starts. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has enjoyed success in the past. Wicket Keeper has secured two wins over six furlongs but finished just over two lengths behind Power Fizz in his latest outing. Paddy's Day will wear a tongue-tie for the first time under Nigel Tinkler, while Albasheer will be ridden by Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle. Gardener, who won more comfortably than the winning distance suggested last time out, returns for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4:30 pm.
