Itoje Backs Borthwick to Lead England to Greatness

Maro Itoje has pledged his support for England head coach Steve Borthwick, asserting that the team can accomplish remarkable feats under his guidance, despite a disappointing Six Nations campaign. England's poor performance saw them finish fifth, with four consecutive losses, including a historic defeat to Italy. However, RFU chief executive Bill Sweeney has hinted that Borthwick will be given the opportunity to lead the team in the upcoming Nations Championship this summer. Itoje acknowledges that England failed to meet expectations, but he believes in Borthwick and his coaching staff, including Richard Wigglesworth, Kevin Sinfield, Joe Shaw, and Lee Blackett. According to Itoje, the team needs to learn from their mistakes, come together, and move forward positively. Despite the setbacks, Itoje remains optimistic about England's potential, stating that he has faith in the team and expects them to achieve great things in the future.
