Augusta National Final Scores: The Masters Leaderboard

The final standings from the year's inaugural major golf tournament, The Masters, held at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, are now available. Rory McIlroy, the defending champion, made history by successfully retaining his title after winning last year's playoff against Justin Rose, thus becoming the sixth player to achieve a career Grand Slam and the first since Tiger Woods. Despite being the pre-tournament favorite, world number one Scottie Scheffler did not win the tournament for the third time, having not finished in the top 10 in his previous three PGA Tour starts. McIlroy's one-under 71 allowed him to finish one stroke ahead of Scheffler, while Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley all tied for third place, one stroke behind Scheffler. Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns shared seventh place, and Max Homa and Xander Schauffele completed the top 10. Patrick Reed and Shane Lowry had disappointing final rounds, finishing five under and slipping out of contention, respectively. A total of 91 players participated in this week's major tournament, which is the first of four men's golf majors within a four-month period. The Masters is followed by the PGA Championship, the US Open, and The Open. The PGA Tour will now head to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, where Justin Thomas will defend his title. The next men's major, the PGA Championship, will take place from May 14-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania.
