Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike has suffered a serious Achilles injury that will keep him out for the remainder of the season and the World Cup with France. The 23-year-old was forced off during the first half of the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield after slipping on the turf, and subsequent scans confirmed a rupture of the Achilles tendon.
