The final standings from the Masters tournament, the first major of the year, held at Augusta National in Georgia, are now available. Rory McIlroy successfully defended his title, making history in the process, after winning last year's event in a playoff against Justin Rose to become the sixth player to achieve a career Grand Slam.
World number one Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite but ultimately finished a shot behind McIlroy, who carded a one-under 71. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley tied for third, while Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns shared seventh place.
The top 10 was rounded out by Max Homa and Xander Schauffele. The PGA Tour now heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, with Justin Thomas returning as the defending champion. The next major, the PGA Championship, will take place from May 14-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania.
