Total Prize Money for Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Confirmed

The International Cricket Council has confirmed a 10% increase in the total prize fund for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, set to take place in England and Wales. The winning team will receive $2.34 million, while the runners-up will take home $1.17 million. All participating teams are guaranteed a minimum of $247,500, more than double the amount from the previous edition. The tournament, which will feature 12 teams, is expected to break attendance and viewing records, with a record prize pool of $8.765 million. The event will be held across 24 days in seven venues, with the first match taking place on June 12. The ICC CEO, Sanjog Gupta, stated that the growth of women's cricket continues to accelerate, and the expansion of the tournament underlines the commitment to building a stronger, more competitive global game. The tournament director, Beth Barrett-Wild, added that the event is set to be a landmark moment for the game, with record-breaking ticket demand and the largest-ever prize pot for a global women's T20 competition.
