Anthony Joshua Set to Face Tyson Fury, But May Take a Preparatory Bout First

A highly anticipated showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is on the horizon, with Joshua possessing the contract for the bout. However, due to a recent car accident and the resulting tragic loss of his friends, Joshua may opt for a warm-up fight in July before facing Fury in November. Fury has already signed for the all-British mega fight and has issued a challenge to Joshua following his victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, indicates that while they have received the contract, they are taking time to ensure Joshua is physically and mentally prepared to return to the ring. Hearn expects Joshua to be back in the ring by July, with the possibility of facing Deontay Wilder before taking on Fury. Wilder has expressed interest in fighting Joshua, and Hearn is open to the idea of Joshua facing both Wilder and Fury in consecutive bouts.
