Baumgardner Eyes Showdowns with Taylor, Serrano, and Mayer
Unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner is set to pursue high-profile bouts with prominent figures in the sport, including Katie Taylor, Amanda Serrano, and Mikaela Mayer. "I'm looking to take on all three; they're exceptional fights," Baumgardner stated. For the American boxer, these match-ups are a higher priority than facing Britain's unified lightweight world champion, Caroline Dubois. "My focus is on the biggest fights available. While Dubois is not yet ready, I'm not avoiding her; I'm just prioritizing the most significant bouts," Baumgardner explained. Before pursuing these prominent fights, Baumgardner will first defend her WBA, WBO, and IBF super-featherweight titles against Bo Mi Re Shin at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York. "Bo Mi Re Shin is a fierce competitor, but I'm hungrier and sharper," Baumgardner said. Baumgardner aims to showcase a more aggressive side in her upcoming fight. "I know I can handle three-minute rounds, so now I want to unleash my meaner and more aggressive side," she added. Her opponent, Shin, is determined to disrupt Baumgardner's plans and claim her titles. "Alycia has always been my target, and now it's time for me to take her belts," Shin said. "I have immense respect for Baumgardner's boxing style and strength, but I believe my perseverance will give me the edge I need to win," Shin explained.
