England Faces Scotland with Depleted Squad Following Recent Injuries

England's head coach, John Mitchell, remains optimistic despite the team's growing injury list, stating that the Red Roses will adapt to the challenges ahead. Five changes have been made to the starting lineup for the upcoming Guinness Women's Six Nations match against Scotland, including the debut of 19-year-old Demelza Short as blindside flanker. Other newcomers to the starting XV include fly-half Zoe Harrison, full-back Emma Sing, lock Abi Burton, and prop Maud Muir. To accommodate these changes, Ellie Kildunne has been shifted to the left wing, while Maddie Feaunati has moved from blindside flanker to No 8 due to Alex Matthews' shoulder injury. The Red Roses have been severely impacted by injuries, with several key players ruled out for the entire tournament, including Hannah Botterman, Morwenna Talling, Natasha Hunt, May Campbell, and Tatyana Heard. Additionally, Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, Rosie Galligan, and Lark Atkin-Davies are absent due to pregnancy.
