Celtic's Johnston Returns to Training, Araujo's Season May Be Over
Celtic has received a boost with the return of Alistair Johnston to training after a lengthy absence due to a hamstring injury. The Canadian right-back joined his teammates at the club's Lennoxtown training complex ahead of the upcoming Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren. However, the news is not as positive for loan defender Julian Araujo, who may have played his last game for the club due to a thigh problem. Araujo, who has been out for over a month, suffered a setback while recovering at his parent club Bournemouth. Celtic manager Martin O'Neill expressed his concerns, stating that Araujo may not feature again for the club this season. O'Neill also confirmed that right-back Colby Donovan will miss the match against St Mirren due to a hamstring injury. The Celtic boss was pleased to see the Green Brigade, the club's ultras group, return to Celtic Park after a five-month ban. The group's ban was lifted after meeting three key conditions, and their vocal support will be a welcome boost as the club chases Hearts and Rangers at the top of the table. O'Neill acknowledged that Hearts are in a strong position, leading the way with 67 points, but remains hopeful that Celtic can still challenge for the title.
